Canonical tag checker: does each page say which URL is the real one?

The same page can often be reached at several addresses: with and without www, with tracking parameters, with a trailing slash. A canonical tag says which one counts. ShipPatrol checks your pages.

Why it matters

Without canonicals, Google picks one itself, and ranking signals can be split across duplicates.

How Patch checks

We look for <link rel="canonical"> on each page we crawl.

How to fix it

2.

  1. Add <link rel="canonical" href="https://your site/the-page"> to each page, pointing at its preferred URL.

Your own report goes further: it names the exact pages, services and settings Patch found on your site, and with a full report you get a fix prompt to paste into Lovable, Bolt or Cursor.
