Terms of service
Plain terms for a plain service. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.

1. Who you're dealing with
ShipPatrol is provided by PixelArc Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16305788), registered office 510 Burnley Road East, Rossendale, England, BB4 9LB. Contact: matt@pixelarcventures.co.uk. "We" means PixelArc Ventures Ltd. "You" means the person or business using ShipPatrol.
2. What ShipPatrol does
ShipPatrol scans websites and reports possible legal, security, SEO and accessibility issues, with suggested fixes. It checks a site from the outside, the way a visitor's browser would, plus deeper checks on sites whose owner has verified them.
ShipPatrol is not a law firm and its reports are not legal advice. A report tells you what we found and which guidance each legal check is based on, with the date we last reviewed it. It can't tell you that a site meets every law that applies to it, and it can miss things. For decisions with real legal or financial consequences, talk to a qualified adviser.
3. Using it fairly
- Free scans are limited to a few per person per day.
- Only verify sites you own or control, and only use the deeper checks on those.
- Don't use ShipPatrol to attack, overload or harass any website or person, or to get around any limit we set.
- Report links can be opened by anyone who has them. Share them with that in mind.
We can refuse, limit or stop scans that break these rules.
4. Paying
- Full report: $19, paid once, unlocks every finding, fix and fix prompt for one report on one site.
- Patrol: $29 a month for up to 3 sites, +$7 a month for each extra site. An extra site you add is charged pro rata from the day you add it, on your next bill; removing one credits the unused part the same way. It renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your Patrol dashboard ("Manage or cancel your plan"), or by emailing matt@pixelarcventures.co.uk from the address on your account. Your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for and doesn't renew after that.
Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe.
5. Refunds
A report is unlocked straight away, so the usual 14-day right to cancel digital content ends once you've accepted that at checkout. That doesn't affect your other rights. If a report doesn't work as described, email us within 14 days and we'll fix the problem or refund you.
6. Our responsibility to you
We provide ShipPatrol with reasonable care and skill. Scans can be incomplete: sites block crawlers, change between visits, or behave differently for different visitors. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on a report, or for changes you make to your site.
Except where the law doesn't allow it, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law. If you're a consumer, you also have rights under UK consumer law that these terms don't change.
7. Changes and ending
We may change these terms or the service. If a change matters for Patrol customers, we'll email you at least 14 days before it applies, and you can cancel. We can close an account that breaks section 3.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also bring a claim where you live.
